Where to Leave Your Car When Staying at Hotel Plaza Cavana

Parking in the centre of Nerja can be a bit of a challenge, especially during the high season. In addition, the historic quarter features narrow streets and several pedestrian-only areas. For this reason, if you’re staying at Hotel Plaza Cavana, it’s a good idea to plan where to leave your car in advance. Below, you’ll find a practical guide to the nearest car parks, both free and paid options, along with an up-to-date link where you can check parking rates in real time.

2. Free Parking Areas Near the Town Centre

If you prefer not to pay for parking, Nerja has several streets with free parking available. Although spaces tend to fill up quickly, especially during the high season, they can be a great option if you arrive during quieter times of the day.

Recommended streets:

  • Calle Manuel Marín (4-minute walk)
  • Calle Almirante Carranza (12-19 minute walk)
  • Calle Antonio Ferrandis Chanquete (14-minute walk)
  • Calle Puente Viejo (14-minute walk)
  • Plaza Rambla del Río Chíllar (15-minute walk)
  • Plaza Chaparil (15-minute walk)
  • Avenida Mediterráneo (20-minute walk)

These areas are relatively close to the hotel and generally offer better availability outside the peak tourist season.

3. Supermarket Car Parks (For Customers Only)

Some supermarkets offer up to 2 hours of free parking, but only for customers. Therefore, they are not recommended for long stays.

  • Mercadona (€7.20 if you are not a customer)
  • Lidl (2 hours free for customers)
  • Iranzo Supermarket (2 hours free for customers)

Nevertheless, these car parks can be very useful if you just need somewhere to park for a short time while running errands or making a quick stop

4. Consulta todos los aparcamientos y precios actualizados

You can view all parking options, prices and distances through this updated Parkopedia link:

👉 View parking options in Nerja

Here, you’ll find real-time information on availability, parking rates and directions to each car park, helping you choose the most convenient option for your stay at Hotel Plaza Cavana

5. Final Tips for Guests Staying at Hotel Plaza Cavana

  • To unload your luggage, the best option is to approach the hotel via Calle Manuel Marín. There, you’ll find Giner de los Ríos Parking, where you may be able to leave your car for a few minutes. It is small but free of charge, so it can be very useful if you’re lucky enough to find a space.

  • During the high season, car parks in the town centre tend to fill up quickly. Therefore, we recommend arriving with plenty of time to spare.

  • If you do not plan to use your car during your stay, choose an economical parking option close to the centre. After that, you can get around on foot, as Nerja is the perfect town to explore while walking.
